I have finally, finally made a decision on my hardware for the kitchen. It has been tested and now officially ordered! Hooray! The best part, is that I love them, and I got ALL of them for under $150 plus shipping! Thank you Home Depot- you are the bomb.com. Here are the three knobs/handles/pulls that I decided on: (yes... Well... I went back to the drawing board. I looked at what is currently living in my kitchen's abode that I love... yes, my <a href="http://abodelove.blogspot.com/2010/08/fab-faucet.html">faucet and sink</a> combination. Why abandon that beautiful brushed nickel finish? I ordered a BUNCH of different samples (which is what I should have done from the beginning) and I loved these the most. The last little dangling pull is what sold me on this combination. I cannot wait to get them all in the mail! I will post as soon as I have them installed.<br /><br />Another problem I ran into... t<a href="http://abodelove.blogspot.com/2010/10/cabinet-hardware-help.html">he knobs and pulls from Anthropologie</a> that would have put me and Mr.Hubbs in the poor house would have been too large for my upper cabinets. The knobs are a lot bigger than you would think.... thank goodness that option wouldn't have worked! Also-- I would have had to order a lot more knobs than handles... <i>which I wasn't crazy about</i>, because of the insane price!<br /><br />Thanks to all of my abode lovers for referencing tons of different places to get hardware! I poured over every knob and pull in this country, I'm sure! I apologize for the quality of these photos, but I was in a bit of a hurry- and now I am ready to ship these babies back. I have already ordered new samples from Home Depot, so I will update you in 5-7 business days! Also, I think I have decided that the Anthropologie knobs are just too over the top for my budget in the kitchen. <i>(by the end of this kitchen overhaul, if I have Anthro hardware... don't judge me! cabinet hardware help!

Hello Abode Lovers! So- remember when I had to explain to all of you that the <a href="http://abodelove.blogspot.com/2010/10/wednesday-catch-all.html">kitchen re-do</a> has been put on hold until I can call dibbs on Colonel Dad? Well... I have bypassed this hurdle and have still managed to make a <i>little</i> headway in the kitchen.<i> I ORDERED NEW HARDWARE!!!</i> I really thought that hardware would be something for the future because of the cost... my total came to $421.95 for the original Anthropolgie pulls and knobs that I had chosen... I mean, wow. I know they are like jewelry for the kitchen (and jewelry is important, very, very important), but I really didn't want to spend that much, at all. So- I am trying something else in <i>hopes</i> that it will be just as fabulous as my original, more expensive pick from Anthro. If I decide I don't like them as much- then I will simply send them back... but my fingers are crossed. I was able to get <i>ALL</i> of the hardware for just over $150.00 with shipping! That is huge! <i>(just think of how many pillows and lampshades I would buy with that small fortune!)</i><br /><i><br /></i><br />I would love to hear honest opinions on this matter- I will of course take photos when I get them... but what is your reaction, right out of the gate?
