Anyhow, here they are... the long awaited Restoration Hardware upholstered items have arrived! I went to the grocery store last week and picked up a can of scotch guard, knowing that somewhere in the future, I would have a pretty little creamy, white chair sitting in my living room- but was expecting mid-February as my arrival time... so, I think that by purchasing the Scotch Guard, I <i>willed</i> my chairs to arrive... you know, <i>"If you build it, they will come,"</i> right? junk in the....

It's Tuesday Trunk-Day.... that's right! I am expecting a trunk at my abode this afternoon and cannot WAIT to see it! <i>"Where is it going?"</i> you ask.... I'm. Not. Telling. <i>"Where did you buy it?"</i> Again, also not telling... It will be SO much more fun this way!<br /><br />I ordered a trunk 12 days ago, and to my surprise, it's arriving today! My estimate on getting this piece was 3 months... I cannot believe that it's happening so quickly! That never happens- after all, I ordered a chair and a chaise lounge in OCTOBER and they have <i>YET</i> to arrive!<br /><br />Here are some suber-fab trunk inspiration images....<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This one is gorgeous... I love the clear trunk full of magazines... I <i>need</i> that- my magazine stack is getting out of control! why i've been m.i.a. AND new furniture!

what is my problem? Well- I haven't been blogging as much lately thanks to the new <i>"day job."</i> I made a career move a few months ago- I drive a lot more, spend less time at home- but it's worth it! I am still finding my footing and trying to get used to all of the new changes.... With all that said- <i>THAT</i> is why I have been MIA lately. I am <i>not</i> less inspired- just busy! Nene's Atlanta Living Room Mood Board

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So- anyone remember Nene <i>(again, not her real name...)</i>? My older sister? <a href="http://abodelove.blogspot.com/2010/07/friday-fluff-tuft.html">HERE</a> is a little refresher... from a previous post. Well- she is trying to make some pretty difficult decisions in her home- so I thought, to help her out, I would create a mood board with some pieces that she already has, mixed with new, shiny furniture! The starter for this space was finding a sofa short enough to fit in her space. This blueish-gray tufted leather sofa from Horchow is the perfect fit! Not only is it just <i>fabulous</i>... but it's kind of perfect for what Nene is looking for. It's durable leather <i>(she has a precious 7 month old!)</i>, tufted for some extra glam... and it's an interesting color- I convinced her that a deep, dark sofa in her narrow space may feel too heavy. THIS sofa has everything she has been looking for.... however, her Hubbs wasn't thrilled with the color... so, this mood board gave them both an idea of what the sofa can look like once it's paired with other more masculine pieces. Nene is super excited and already planning which piece she should get first! Woohoo, Success!
