As an Air Force brat, I will certainly never forget that day and how it affected the entire world. General Dad was in D.C. having meetings at the Pentagon that week and was blessed beyond measure to be at his hotel at the time that devastation was rocking this great country.
Today I am remembering the senseless loss of countless lives. I'm remembering the service men and women who stepped in bravely that day and gave their lives to help others. I'm remembering our military family who stepped in after that terrible day to insure our safety down the road. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are what makes this country great.
Anyone else overwhelmed with sadness every year when 9.11 rolls around? It's still hard to believe that it even happened.
