A few weeks ago Mister Husband and myself had a few of our friends come in to stay the weekend with us from out of town and to celebrate their engagement! It was fun for all, and my sweet abode guests brought me a little gift. I LOVE it. As many of you probably know, I'm a professional graphic designer and am in LOVE with beautiful design, paper and layout design. This Louis Vuitton Architecture and Interiors book is eye candy to a gal like me. It's so HOT already here in Alabama and it's not even June yet! I am seeing a lot of ice cream and Icees in my future. It looks like it's going to be a long summer! Anyway, I know it's been quite a bit since I've blogged, but I promise it's been for good reason. I've been all over the place lately and have had a little trouble getting inspired, sometimes, it happens! Thank goodness for fun and exciting projects to get my wheels turning once again--- </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This is a little design board that I did for a lovely lady in Alaska- she's having a baby girl and I was lucky enough to score the project for her nursery design! She loves giraffes, so I knew they would be a key part of the design. I adore the touches of black in this space. I know it's a bit different for a nursery, but I thought it was really fun. I love the elegant and simple lines of the Restoration Hardware dresser and the bone inlay mirror adds a lovely touch of whimsy and contrast to this side of the room. kara's bedroom

Hello abode lovers and Happy Monday! I hope all of you mothers out there had a great weekend. I know it's been a while since my last post (eek!) BUT I have something super fun to share with all of you today! I just finished up a precious room for an 8 year old named Kara here in Birmingham. I wanted to share the design boards with all of you because I just love the space so much! Kara is a sweet and sassy little thing, her only requests for the new space were #1 for her room to be painted a shade of blue and #2 to have a desk!
