all that glitters... is usually gold

I love, love gold finishes, and so should you! "Why?" you ask? Well, because gold works in every kind of space. It adds warmth, depth, a bit of glamour and shine. If you are worried because your space doesn't have any metallics, or if you have just used silver... then it's time to mix it up! This little gold metallic table is gorgeous paired with the black porcelain tile, rustic exposed brick wall and creamy white backdrop. The mix of materials makes this little corner feel rich, warm, depthy and timeless!

This space contains a fabulous gold rhino... gold candlesticks, a gold frame above the fireplace and gold drapes... this space is LOVELY! here is a space that uses all gold, and does it very well. The delicate lines of the coffee table and console table against the left wall are graceful and fresh in this space. They fit in nicely with the creamy "lightness" of the space...

I love the mix of materials and styles in this bedroom. The gold desk is to die for mixed with this upholstered modern bed- and black tufted chair. Also, the casual style of the artwork and photographs have a lovely juxtaposition to such a classic, traditional piece like the desk. This goes to show that antique gold pieces can work with any style!

I really love the modern lines of the chair, the modern lucite table and lamp mixed with the oversized antique gold floor mirror. The modern gold lamp shade really unifies the space as it creates a bridge to connect the old, antique mirror to the new, and modern lamp.

And again... this space mixes super modern and ultra traditional flawlessly. The lucite chair sitting beside the tufted, gold antique chair is such a nice contrast. The cool brown/grey on the sofa, and both chairs tie this space together beautifully. Also, notice all of the frames in antique gold, wood, black and white. This room is a great example of using very traditional pieces in a modern and simple space.

Heavenly. This bookcase is heavenly. The delicate nature of the piece is so beautiful... I also love the introduction of the tiny gold framed mirror on the top shelf. Anytime you frame a mirror in gold- you are automatically mixing gold and silver metallics. It's a great way to add depth and a rich feeling to any space.

This modern space of black, white and berry is taken to another level of glamour and richness with the addition of gold being placed throughout the space in both modern pieces as well as traditional pieces. Such a great way to tie styles together to create a seamless look.

Mirrored furniture+delicate gold furniture= rich glamour! I am also loving the mix of patterns... this room is SO luxurious yet fresh because of all of the different styles and finishes!

I love this gold cylinder coffee table... so gorgeous- so perfect for this modern space. It creates instant glamour and depth because of it's reflective sheen. It works beautifully withe the lovely zig-zag metallic piece below the tv.
